3 Reasons I Cannot Wait for IWCE 2018 in Tampa!

1. To fulfill my fangirl dreams!
I have had the pleasure if interviewing several of the outstanding speakers presenting at the IWCE this year and I cannot wait to meet them!
Among them are the Keynoters, Jason Oliver Nixon and John Loecke are right at the top of my list. Their whimsical approach to design and charming personalities aside, these men are smart business people and I am looking forward to hearing more about how they built their interior design firm and how they have diversified their income streams.
2. The Trade Show Floor
I always look to see which companies are exhibiting and I make a point to meet any vendors I already do business with. I want to the online relationships with vendors to real life. I know it’s not politically correct to say it, but we all know customer service does improve when you establish solid relationships with the companies you do business with.
3. Inspiration
When you have been in the window treatment industry since 1982 like I have, it’s so valuable to get out of your own head sometimes. The IWCE always does this for me. I love putting faces to the fellow designers that I know from FB and Instagram. I love the awards ceremony where I see the creative treatments colleagues from around the country have designed, I love the new ideas and strategies I learn in the seminars and I always re-fall in love with my business, my customers, my mission as a business owner.
I hope you’ll join all of us there this March in Tampa. I always say if I come away with one new idea, one new tool, one new vendor that can change my business, that can me more profitable, then it’s worth every moment of my time to be there. If you do come, please make sure to introduce yourself to me!
